the hatsune miku trend rn where everyones drawing her as their own culture or where they're from is oddly kinda healing after seeing so much AI slop the past several months--its horrid on pinterest, its overwhelming and despairing.
But its refreshing to see so much feeling behind such personal designs of Miku, seeing real people's nostalgia and pride shine through, no two people from the same location will draw her the same, they'll give her their own childhood
am i crazy
#IDK I LOVE IT MY LIKES R FULL.. .MY QUEUE.....#she rly is like barbie yknow#so many different places#people doing not just traditional but whats common. different classes. different regions#ive seen people from the states do it too. i'd like to see uh like... northwest miku lmao...#hatsune miku

Barbie characters in the BNHA universe cuz why not
i’ve been binge reading bnha fanfic, as well as listening to Barbie music, and this popped into my mind. so here. what i think the quirks of certain Barbie characters would be.
Liana and Alexa: Their quirks revolve around music. When they sing, if they manage to harmonize with another sound, their voices take on the properties of a siren/mermaid. Due to the nature of their quirks, they quickly sought each other out as children, and decided from an early age that they would be a hero duo together. Though, when separated, unless they have access to another source of music, they cannot harmonize and therefore their quirks can’t activate. They’re rarely seen apart from each other.
Anneliese: Her iq is super high. Like, rly high. She’s like Principal Nezu, though her quirk isn’t quite as advanced. On it’s own, she makes quite a great strategist, but she’s more interested in science, and uses her knowledge in the subject to create items to aide the hero course. She decided to persue the support course instead of the hero course, happy just to be able to research and conduct experiments that would help people.
Erika: Her quirk is extremely similar to Best Jeanist’s. She can control fabric, clothing, string, etc. which led to her learning to sew at a young age. She’s quite talented at the craft, and, unlike Best Jeanist, decided to forgo the hero course and works with Anneliese in the support course to help with the hero course students’ hero costumes.
Julian: He’s quirkless, though those around him don’t really care. He’s Julian, he can hold his own, is super smart, and let’s face it, if he wanted to he could 1000% become a hero and no one would try to stop him. Though to be fair, when he and Anneliese team together they’re pretty unstoppable. They know better than to mess with them.
Eden: She holds the ability to see spirits, as well as interact with them. She’s more annoyed with the quirk than anything else, and sees it as a useless asset that she sometimes wishes would just go away.
Elina: She can control light. Rainbows, sunlight, stars, etc. She can redirect the direction it shines in, and it’s useful for blinding enemies or focusing enough heat into a single area to start small fires.
Odette: She can turn into a swan. Not a quirk that’s very suited for most hero work, but she’s found that it’s quite easy to eavesdrop, or travel long distances quickly. She’s an underground hero, oftentimes send to track where certain targets are headed, finding the locations of villain hideouts, etc. After all, who’d expect a swan to be a hero?
Rapunzel: Everything she draws/paints can come to life if she wills it. Due to the nature of her quirk, she’s a very talented artist. She can also paint a certain location, and use the image as a sort of portal to go to that exact location if it is accurate enough. She’s great at infiltrating villain hideouts.
Genevieve: If she activates her quirk on someone, it forces them to dance. It’s impossible for them to stop dancing unless she cancels her quirk, or, yknow, they die. It’s great for ending villain attacks nonviolently, cuz it’s pretty hard for someone to dance and fight at the same time.
Mariposa: She has butterfly wings, and can fly. She’s not interested in hero work though, she’d rather just run a small bookstore and read all day (who can blame her tbh, butterfly wings ARE super delecate, after all).
Merliah: She’s a “mermaid”, need I say more? Whenever she’s fully submerged in water, her legs merge into a tail, and she can control water. Most of her hero work is done out at sea.
Ro: She can communicate with animals, like Kouda. They’d be the best brotp tbh. She’s not in the hero course though, she was shipwrecked on an island when she was little, it’s because of her quirk that she even survived. Idk, she might become a hero eventually if she’s ever found 🤷🏼♀️
Annika: She has an ice quirk, like Shouto’s cold half. Due to a villain targeting her as a child her parents are super overprotective tho, so she’ll never be allowed into the hero course. She oftentimes sneaks out to watch hero fights anyways tho. (Her sister, who has large white wings, was kidnapped by a villain when she was little, and was raised by villains. Drama could easily ensue idk man.)
Clara: She can bring small, inanimate objects to life, such as her Nutcracker. It was the first thing she accidentally used her quirk on, and he’s been her best friend ever since.
Blaire: She can control glitter. The villains never stood a chance.
Barbie: She’s Barbie. That’s it. That’s her quirk. Whenever something strange happens it’s just written off as “she’s Barbie”. Nothing can ever go wrong when she’s there. No one knows what her quirk actually is. She’s just,, Barbie.
